I forgot to post an 8 month update on the Birdie and she is soon to be 9 months this next week. So just a quick update with pictures from this weekend. Laurie cut her 5th tooth recently, it is the top tooth to the right of the front ones. Basically, don't stick your finger in her mouth, or let her chew on your shoulder. It will start off friendly, then she bites you! I've got lots of little bruises to show you.
Birdie got her first little sunburn last weekend at the soccer game. It wasn't very bad, but her arms were red for 2 days. I guess she has my skin - my whole face was burned after an hour in the sun.
She plays patty cake, clucks her tongue, makes her gaa gaa sounds and cruises furniture. There are times I swear she signs "more" or "milk" back to me, but I'm not really sure yet. We've even seen her stand for almost a whole minute without holding on. Course, I can't seem to get it on video. She is everywhere and she is fast!
Oh, and in case you can't tell from my pictures, yes, the Birdie still is very bald on top. There is finally a little hair in the back, but nothing on top. Can you say Mullet?

She's going to be like her cousin - not a mullet - it's her "tail". That's what we called Brenna's little hair on the back of her head. I still have it in a ziploc bag in the medicine cabinet - I had to cut it off when she twirled it round her finger so hard it cut off the circulation and the pain woke her up one night.
