Ashley had a stellar week last week. (yes, it takes me a week to get around to blogging about it). Her report card on Thursday was full of good marks - and several areas of improvement - no letter grades yet. For behavior in school, they are on the color system like so many others. If you not only stay on green all day, but do exceptionally well, the teacher can give you a "Way To Go" star. For the whole year, she'd only gotten 1 star, but last week, she got 2 two days in a row - Thus and Friday! She was so excited.
To round out the week, she was promoted levels at swim class after only 3 classes. She moved from Catfish to Swordfish. Ashley is pleased to be only 1 level behind Daniel now. Watching her swim, the word that comes to mind is "Powerful". When I told her that, her entire face just lit up. She liked that description. It has been a long and expensive road to get her to swim with proper strokes and suddenly it appears that it has finally clicked for her. Daniel better watch out, if she decides she is good at swimming, she will excel and pass him up.
What a week!!! We are very proud of our Wumpy.
