Small Successes

FaithButton

Faith and Family Live blog had this posted today...
...It’s important for moms to recognize that all the small successes in our days can add up to one big triumph. So on Thursday of each week, we’ll do exactly that...

I think it is a nice excercise for all, not just moms. With that being said, here are my Small Successes for the week...

1. Sewed pajama pants for all three of my kids. Its my first big sewing project and I'm happy that I not only tackled sewing pants for the first time, but managed to sew all three pants in 4 days.

2. Sat on the floor today with the kids and worked with them on "homework" I gave them. Ashley did some math problems, Laurie sat on the potty and practiced cutting with scissors, and Daniel practiced reading small words. It hit me while I was sitting there how nice it was to spend this time with them. It was a really special hour. And an added bonus - Birdie went potty for the first time today while we were working. Yeah!
3. I have spent every night this week working on things I've been needing to do - entering bills into computer, filing paperwork, blogging, getting caught up on computer things... Lately I've been bad about just sitting at night and watching tv. This week felt like old times, when I got so much done after the kids went to bed.

If you click the picture at the top, it takes you to the original blog post that started all of it. I enjoyed this exercise and look forward to it next week.

Lisa that is great. Sometimes it's the little things that are the big successes. What a neat reminder.
