We started the day with Daniel playing really awesome soccer!! Not only did the boy score 7 goals, but really demonstrated an ability to stop and turn the ball on the run. He also switched kicking foot multiple times. Someting I didn't realize was a big deal, but Brian, GrandDaddy, and the assistant coach all thought that was something great.Daniel was so very happy, running and smiling the whole game. At one point, he told Brian he would go and score twice, to which, Brian replied, "just go score one time." Well, Daniel went out and scored twice in a row, after the second goal, he turned around and said, "See Dad! I told you!" Everyone laughed. He is such a special boy.

While we were at soccer, Mom came and picked up the girls for an Easter egg hunt at Granny's assisted living facility. The girls were the life of the party and had a good time. Ashley & Laurie found lots of eggs, played games and ran around keeping Nana really busy. Mom says Granny wasn't in a good mood, but you'd never know it from the pictures!

Later, we picked up the girls and met Bob & Pat for lunch at our favorite Chinese restuarant, then went back to their house for another Easter egg hunt. The kids always enjoy this so much. They ran from egg to egg, squealing with joy at each one they could pick up. They would even pass some of the really obvious eggs and run in circles, like they were so excited, they didn't know which egg to pick up first! While opening the eggs in the house, they emptied all the contents all over the carpet and sorted the candy, money and toys. They had this
pile of Easter candy from the eggs which just sat on the carpet. The big hit from the eggs were the prefilled ones that contained little plastic bugs, snakes and dinosaurs. The three of them sat and played with those darn bugs, snakes and dinosaurs for a long time.
