Halloween fell on a Sunday this year and the weather was beautiful. After lunch, we spent much of the afternoon in the back yard carving our pumpkins. As usual, everyone gets to gut their own pumpkin, something that draws lots of "yuck" and "eewww" from all three. Each child gets to choose their own pattern for their Jack O Lantern. Birdie was first and choose the adorable "Boo" from a pattern book. It took Brian a while to get it just right, so I helped the other kids carve theirs.

| Daniel's first attempt |
Daniel and Ashley drew on their pumpkins with magic marker and then I attempted to carve it into a Jack O Lantern. Daniel and I's first attempt was not superb, but he like it. Ashley's turned out much better.
The 4th pumpkin was funny. We gave it two teeth in front because Daniel is missing his two front teeth.

The kids had a great time choosing costumes on the internet. They went through TONS of costumes and chose these. Brian and I thought they were perfect!!!
