Boy Boy on Vacation

Daniel had a really great time on the cruise. He made special friends with a couple of the waiters in the main dining room. Hans, from Germany, would come over and show magic trips to the kids. Daniel now can blow on his spoon and make it Disappear! DeWayne, from a Carribean island, and Daniel became fast friends. He taught the munchkin how to do high five, then hand bump, then beat your chest twice and end with peace sign. He is still doing it all the time.

Daniel had a couple of favorite things to do on the boat. One was to ride the glass elevator up and down. He and Papa did it for about an hour one day. And again on the last day. He loved it. Another favorite thing was playing miniature golf on the top of the boat. Being at the beach, he says, was the best time he had over all. When we were in Mexico at the beach before, he was only 11 months, so he doesn't remember it. This time, he had a great time.

All the way to the port before we left, I was excited for the kids to see the boat. I thought they would be so excited to see how big it was. I kept picturing all the cute things they would say as we walked the gangway to get on. None of those things happened. Ashley was too excited to be with her cousins. Daniel was...I'm not really sure. All through the trip, he kept asking, "when are we getting on the boat?" If we saw another boat on the water he would ask, "Is that our boat?" We would just laugh and remind him that we were on a boat. Don't you see the water rushing by? I just don't think he got it.

When we got home, he was exhausted and loved being home.
