Ashley had "Awards Day" at her school today. Her teacher led the class in songs, chants and told stories about the year. It was so very cute and I took lots of video I wish I could share. But, the files all turned out pretty large, and I'm not sure how I could post any of the songs.
After the presentation, Ms. T passed out folders of certificates, writing samples and a small gift to each child. Ashley was very very proud of all her writing journals and wanted to show me everything in the packet (and there was a lot). It really is amazing to see how much she has progressed over the year, both in writing and drawing pictures. She has Field Day tomorrow, then one more 1/2 day of school left to start Summer. I think I'm just going to pass out on the couch Friday and let us all watch tv in our pajamas, well, at least till we have to run off to swim team practice.
Did you notice in the picture of Ashley that she lost yet another tooth? That makes 8 so far. You should see her try to eat. It is quite funny!

Sounds like a great teacher and a fantastic way to end the school year. I'm glad she's done so beautifully in school. What a SMART Goddaughter I have!!! Too Cute!!!!!
