Small Success (3)

FaithButton

Just a reminder...
Faith and Family Live blog posted ...... It’s important for moms to recognize that all the small successes in our days can add up to one big triumph. So on Thursday of each week, we’ll do exactly that... Here is my list of "Small Successes" for the week.

1. I went for my first run - 2.5 miles. It was tough, but I feel really good about trying something new. And about being successful at something I really didn't think I could do.

2. My sister and I have started a new blog. I have talked about a new blog for months, but it just wasn't coming together for me till I asked my sister to join me. Once we were working together on it, everything clicked. I am excited about working with her on something we are both passionate about.

3. I spent yesterday and today comforting my sick daughter. This might sound like a strange "success", but I had moments when I really didn't want to sit with her in the bathroom while she got sick over and over again. It is so hard being helpless to stop her pain. To be scared and worried for her but not able to show it. I sat there with her today and just remembered my mom being there for me as a child when I was in pain. And how, her just being there made all the difference to me. So I made a decision to be what she needed, to be strong and supportive even though I felt helpless.
