Canton Trip

At the end of January, Mom, Leah and I made another trip up to First Monday Trade Days in Canton, TX.  If you haven't been - it is amazing.  You can find almost anything there.  We always go for home decor and craft items.  This year, I came home with some amazing finds.

There are two of these metal hangings - one for each side of my china cabinet in the dining room. And, its not crooked, my picture is.

These are two of the floral arrangements I bought.

Mom purchased this great rocker for the ranch.

I also bought a large hanging mural and set of metal squares for high on my two story walls.  Once, if ever, they are finally hung, I will post pictures.  But for now, they are still sitting in the box waiting to find someone with a really tall ladder who is willing to climb 20 feet in the air for me.

The best/worst part of the trip had to be the weather.  Texas is really really cold this year and that weekend was no exception.  The high on Saturday was around 31 degrees.  I went wearing what I thought was warm layered clothes, but around lunchtime, I headed back out to the van and put another pair of pants, socks and sweatshirt on over my other clothes.  It was just hysterical.  3 pairs of socks for each of us and yet we were constantly stomping our feet to get the feeling back in them.  I'm just such a Texas girl and unprepared for that kind of weather.  Thankfully, it didn't stop us from shopping and the place was almost empty.  Lots of great prices and no traffic.  Sunday was beautiful with a high in the low 40's and lots of sun.  Too bad we spent most of it in the car driving home.
