The kids woke up early Christmas Morning to discover that Santa came while they were sleeping. Since I was worried the kids would come downstairs and go through their presents while we were still sleeping, I told them they weren't allowed to come downstairs when they woke up. Instead, they should go to Laurie's room and call for us on her monitor. Brian thought I was being controlling and shouldn't worry about them. But I was determined they would come down the stairs together with us taking their pictures like my parents used to do with us. Wouldn't you know, I didn't sleep at all that night. I kept waking up thinking I heard them, wondering if they would see what Santa brought them before we woke up. I shouldn't have worried. They did exactly as they were told. And woke Laurie up in the process.
Daniel had a great expression as he saw that Santa brought him the piece to his Train set that he wanted!We all had a great Christmas.
I think their favorite gifts include their gift from Santa and a new MP3 player for Ashley and Daniel from Mom & Dad. Laurie's favorite was probably her new baby doll.
After we opened all the new presents, they got out the presents they received on Christmas Eve from GrandMommy & GrandDaddy, Uncle Ron and Gigi and played with them until it was time to get ready for Nana & Papa's house.
