Uncle Jack came over this morning to show the kids what he caught in his backyard overnight. A Raccoon. He tells us they have had lots of problems with raccoons in the yard lately so he's been setting out traps. This one is the second one he has caught so far. He will let it go somewhere close to the river but a little further away from all the houses than here in the neighborhood.
The kids were fascinated. They'd never seen a raccoon so close before.

That is the smallest raccoon I have ever seen!! What a cutie baby! I didn't know Jack was having trouble with racoons. Better racoons than a skunk!!
